A member of the party of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan emphasized that Armenia's ratification of the Roman status was necessary to acquire additional security guarantees.

He added that presiding over the EAEU is “a completely different work process.”

“I don’t think it makes sense to mix these two processes.

Once again, I assure you that the Republic of Armenia’s presidency of the EAEU does not imply any of the actions you are talking about; we will fully fulfill our obligations,” TASS quotes Hakobyan as saying.

Earlier, the head of the Armenian Ministry of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan called the republic’s exit from the EAEU risky.
