The budget bill will provide "significant and much-needed investment in America's defense industrial base" and improve U.S. military readiness, while also helping to create and maintain jobs in dozens of states across America, the White House said.
“Absent congressional action on this emergency request, the United States will not be able to continue to support Ukraine to meet its military needs,” the statement said.
According to the published document, US military spending in 2025 will be increased to $850 billion.
