As Izvestia writes with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Labor, the new requirements provide for the introduction of a special document confirming the right of a migrant to temporary work in Russia.

“In practice, this means that as part of organizational recruitment, a migrant worker will work for a specific employer in accordance with permits.

At the same time, advance payments for them will be made by the company directly hiring the foreign specialist,” the department indicated.

It is clarified that this implies that the migrant will be required to work only in a given profile and will exclude the possibility for a foreign worker to change his occupation at will.

“This decision will eliminate cases where, as part of organizational recruitment, upon arrival in Russia, a labor migrant could refuse to work, for example, in a construction company that incurred the costs of hiring him, including the cost of air tickets, and switch to a courier service,” the Ministry of Labor emphasized.

The ministry emphasized that those who try to change their type of activity without permission will be deported.
