The special representative of the Russian President for international cultural cooperation, Mikhail Shvydkoy, told Russian journalists about this.

“As it seems to me, today the Slovak authorities are ready to start a dialogue on how cultural cooperation can be resumed, if not at the state level, then at least at the level of cultural institutions,” TASS quotes him as saying.

Shvydkoy added that the conversation, including in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Parliament, will give a greater understanding of what projects will be implemented and what path will be chosen when resuming cultural contacts.

It is noted that Shvydkoy will visit Slovakia in the near future.

Earlier, the deputy head of Rossotrudnichestvo, Dmitry Polikanov, said that the Russian House in Washington continues to operate, cultural events are held despite pressure from the American authorities, and a similar situation is in Europe.
