Liberal Democratic Party support rate has fallen by more than 10 points since the Kishida Cabinet was inaugurated

The Liberal Democratic Party's party support rate was 28.6%, the first time since the Liberal Democratic Party returned to power in 2012 that it was in the 20% range since the December 2023 survey.



Compared to when the Kishida Cabinet was inaugurated, the Liberal Democratic Party's approval rating has fallen by more than 10 points from 41.2% in October 2021.



At the time of the Aso Cabinet, just before the change of government, the approval ratings of the Liberal Democratic Party and the then-current Democratic Party were in the 20% to 30% range, whereas in March, the approval rating of the main opposition party, the Constitutional Democratic Party, was 6.8. %, and the second largest party, Japan Restoration Party, also did not increase at 3.8%.



On the other hand, the percentage of independents is increasing and has consistently exceeded 40% since December 2023.
