In an interview with Reuters, Stoltenberg confirmed that NATO has no plans to send troops to Ukraine, The Guardian writes.

The secretary general was asked if Macron could be considered to have made a mistake, to which he replied: “I think it is important that we consult and have a common approach to important topics, because they are important to all of us.”

At the end of February, Macron said that the possibility of sending Western troops to Ukraine cannot be ruled out.

He later corrected his statement and said that "not ruling something out is not the same as doing it."
