Countries and organizations accused Israel of not complying with the International Court of Justice’s decision to continue its devastating war on Gaza (Reuters)

12 Israeli organizations said that Israel did not comply with the decision of the International Court of Justice regarding facilitating aid to Gaza, and called on it to comply with the temporary measures recently approved by the court to prevent possible genocide and stop the humanitarian crisis in the besieged Strip, which has been subjected to a devastating war for more than 5 months.

The organizations added - in an open letter published by the British newspaper The Guardian - that the Court of Justice order is a legal obligation to end the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza and must be implemented.

These organizations, including the "Civil Rights" and "Breaking the Silence" associations, denounced Israel's failure to respond to demands to change its behavior in accordance with the procedures approved by the International Court of Justice. They also denounced the decline in humanitarian aid to the residents of the Gaza Strip by 50% in the month following the issuance of the court's decision.

Israeli organizations called for an immediate ceasefire that includes the release of Israelis detained in Gaza, and called on the Israeli government to comply with the temporary measures approved by the International Court of Justice, leading to addressing the humanitarian catastrophe in the Strip.

After considering a lawsuit filed by South Africa, on January 26, the Court of Justice issued a decision requiring Israel to take “temporary measures” to protect the Palestinians in Gaza, comply with the Genocide Convention, and provide humanitarian aid, until the content of the lawsuit accusing Israel is decided.
