Al-Aqsa satellite channel said that Israeli helicopters fired on the southwestern neighborhoods of Gaza City, while Israeli fighters bombed the communications area west of the city.

Fierce clashes

For its part, the occupation army said that soldiers of the Nahal Brigade killed 15 Palestinian militants in direct combat in the central Gaza Strip, and that a force from the Givati ​​Brigade was fired upon by an anti-tank missile, without causing any casualties.

In the south of the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army said that a unit belonging to the commando division continues its fighting in Hamad Town in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, and continues to launch raids and combing operations, during which combat means were found, and the division eliminated dozens of saboteurs, as it put it.

The Israeli army also published pictures of a fight in a residential building between its soldiers and the Palestinian resistance.

In Al-Qarara, east of Khan Yunis, the occupation army confirmed the continuation of its attacks with air support and in cooperation with snipers, noting that the naval forces in the northern Gaza Strip directed the air force to raid a naval vessel used by the Hamas movement, according to the statement.

Al Jazeera's correspondent also reported that the occupation forces blew up entire residential neighborhoods in the Al-Qarara area in Khan Yunis.

Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari said - in a press conference in Tel Aviv - that they are examining the results of the bombing that targeted a compound in the Nuseirat camp (central Gaza Strip), and that the operation was based on accurate intelligence information, according to him.

On the other hand, the Al-Qassam Brigades confirmed that its fighters continue to engage in fierce clashes with heavy and medium weapons with Israeli forces on all fronts of the fighting.

Massacres on the first day of Ramadan
