“Mr. Giorgi Kadzhaia has been appointed advisor to the Prime Minister on issues of relations with Russia,” Kobakhidze said during a briefing.

As TASS reports, the prime minister said that Zurab Abashidze, who served as the prime minister's special representative on relations with Russia, will now hold the position of adviser to the head of the Georgian government.

Earlier, Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili said that the country's ruling Georgian Dream party was engaged in “anti-Western propaganda” and was establishing close ties with Russia.
