As stated by the Chief of the General Staff - First Deputy Head of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus, Major General Viktor Gulevich, in the current “aggravated conditions of the military-political situation” the army pays great attention to maintaining a high level of combat and mobilization readiness.

“This is especially characteristic of the present time, when large-scale exercises of multinational NATO forces are being conducted both throughout Europe and near our borders,” Gulevich is quoted as saying on the department’s Telegram channel.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Belarus announced the start of a comprehensive check of the army’s combat readiness.
