A message published by the FAS press service notes that an analysis of the state of competition in the market was carried out in connection with the receipt of appeals from citizens.

It was established that in 2023, the share of these companies in the market was 73.1% of the total sales of food for cats and dogs.

“This provides grounds for recognizing them as collectively dominant in the Russian market,” the statement says.

The FAS added that the companies expressed their readiness to voluntarily provide partner retail chains with promotional discounts of up to 30% on a certain range of feed.

Nestlé also decided to reduce the price of food for the brand that is most accessible to consumers.

Earlier it became known about the first case initiated by the FAS for violation of new requirements for credit advertising.
