China News Service, March 11 (Xinhua) According to comprehensive foreign media reports, on the 10th local time, ceasefire negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) remained at a deadlock.

U.S. President Biden said in an interview on the 9th that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s failure to control civilian casualties “hurts Israel more than helps” and warned Israel not to attack the southern Gaza city of Rafah.

Netanyahu defended his Gaza policy and said he would continue to attack Rafah.

According to CNN, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in an interview on the 10th that Biden’s statement that he would hurt Israel more than help it was “wrong.”

Netanyahu said, “I don’t know what President Biden means exactly, but if he means that I am pursuing personal policies that go against the will of the majority of Israelis and harm Israel’s interests, then he is wrong. ”

“These policies are supported by the vast majority of Israelis, who support our actions to destroy Hamas’ remaining strongholds,” he added.

Earlier on the 9th, Biden said in an interview broadcast on MSNBC that Netanyahu’s failure to control civilian casualties (in Gaza) “hurt Israel more than it helped.”

If civilian casualties are not reduced, he risks losing the support of the international community.

He reiterated that Israel "has the right to defend itself and pursue Hamas," but Netanyahu must pay more attention to the civilian deaths caused by Israeli military operations.

CNN said that Biden’s recent remarks indicate that the relationship between the leaders of the United States and Israel is increasingly tense.

At present, the Gaza ceasefire negotiation process is still stalled. Hamas Politburo leader Ismail Haniyeh said that although the two sides failed to reach a ceasefire agreement before Ramadan, Hamas is still willing to continue mediation negotiations with Israel.

Haniyeh insisted that a permanent ceasefire in Gaza and the withdrawal of all Israeli troops were the only way to reach an agreement.

According to data released by the Palestinian Gaza Strip health department on the 10th, Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours resulted in a total of 85 deaths and 130 injuries.

Since the outbreak of a new round of Palestinian-Israeli conflict in October 2023, Israel's military operations in the Gaza Strip have caused more than 31,000 deaths and more than 72,000 injuries.
