The 34-year-old young man, wanted by Interpol for drug trafficking and criminal conspiracy for several months, is suspected of being at the head of the Yoda gang, involved in a clan conflict in Marseille that left 49 dead last year. .

Felix Bingui had been on the run in Morocco

for several months

He was arrested in Casablanca by the Moroccan Directorate General of National Security (DGSN).

The one nicknamed “The Cat” is suspected of being the head of the Yoda gang, a clan involved in a bloody turf war with its rival the “DZ Mafia” since 2023. At least 49 people have been killed and 123 injured in a year of confrontation between the two groups of drug traffickers operating in Marseille.

The arrest of Felix Bingui, wanted by Interpol, mobilized the police of both states.

In February, a French delegation traveled to Morocco to request support from Moroccan security forces.

Less than a month later, Félix Bingui was arrested and placed in police custody in Casablanca.

He is now awaiting extradition to

France.
