Occupied Jerusalem

- Duaa Subhi, a Jerusalemite girl interested in wild plants in the mountains of Palestine and documenting their names and uses, developed her idea into an initiative that she called “Mountain,” in reference to mountain plants.

The girl is interested in plants, photographs them, and publishes them on a page called her initiative on Instagram. Then she begins making tours to identify wild plants and document them on her page.

Doaa's tours are not limited to the city of Jerusalem, but also document the plants of the villages displaced during the Palestinian Nakba in 1948, and the plants of the mountains of the West Bank.
