The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani discussed during a call with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian the latest developments in the situation in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories.

She added - in a statement - that the two ministers also discussed the expanding circle of violence in the region and its repercussions on regional and global security and stability.

The two sides also discussed - according to the statement - efforts related to the negotiations to return to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, and in this context, the Qatari Prime Minister reiterated that the State of Qatar will continue its endeavors to bring the views of all parties closer together, as part of its efforts to enhance international peace and security.
