The Israeli occupation aircraft intensified its bombing on several sites in the southern and central Gaza Strip, and opened fire on those waiting for aid, which led to the death of a number of martyrs, while the health authorities announced an increase in the number of child martyrs due to hunger.

Al Jazeera's correspondent said that Israeli warplanes bombed, at dawn on Saturday, the 12-story Al-Masry Tower, which is the largest tower in the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.

The reporter added that the tower was subjected to 4 air strikes, which led to the destruction of two-thirds of it, while residents were forced to leave it less than 20 minutes before it was bombed.

Al Jazeera's correspondent also reported that the Israeli occupation aircraft launched raids on the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, without any initial reports of casualties or injuries.

Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that injured people, most of them children, arrived at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, west of Deir Al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip. This comes after Israeli warplanes bombed land next to which there were displaced people.

He added that 3 Palestinians were martyred and others were injured after the Israeli occupation forces opened fire on civilians waiting for aid at the Kuwait Roundabout in Gaza City.

Martyrs of hunger

On the other hand, the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced, on Friday evening, the death of 3 children in Al-Shifa Medical Complex as a result of malnutrition and dehydration.

This came in a post by Gaza Health Spokesman Ashraf Al-Qudra, via the ministry’s Telegram account.

Thus, the death toll from malnutrition and dehydration since October 7 has risen to 23 martyrs in the Gaza Strip, according to capacity.

As a result of the war and Israeli restrictions, the residents of Gaza, especially the Gaza and northern governorates, are on the verge of famine, in light of a severe scarcity of food, water, medicine and fuel supplies, with the displacement of about two million Palestinians from the Strip, which has been besieged by Israel for 17 years.

The ongoing Israeli war on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023 has left tens of thousands of civilian victims, most of them children and women, in addition to an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe and massive infrastructure destruction.
