China News Service, Zhangzhou, March 9 (Chen Yan) On March 7, Zhang Kezhong, president of the Taiwan Mazu Association, led more than 20 representatives from Yunlin Mailiao Gongji Palace to carry out Mazu activities at Shunyi Palace in Longwen District, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province. For cultural exchanges, compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait jointly unveiled the "Zhangtai Exchange Base" in Shunyi Palace.

  Mazu culture is an important part of China's excellent traditional culture and an important spiritual link that promotes spiritual harmony between the two sides.

Zhang Kezhong said that he was honored to unveil the "Zhangtai Exchange Base". Mazu culture on both sides of the Taiwan Strait has profound cultural origins. He hopes that in the future, palaces and temples on both sides of the Taiwan Strait will jointly promote the inheritance of Mazu cultural beliefs and benefit believers on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.

  On that day, Mazu believers on both sides of the Taiwan Strait followed the ancient ritual of worshiping Mazu, washed their hands and burned incense, prepared flowers, fresh fruits and longevity noodles, and performed a solemn three-offering ceremony to Mazu to pray for good weather, peace and prosperity on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.

The relevant person in charge of Shunyi Palace said that since 2023, Shunyi Palace has received more than 1,000 worshipers from Mazu temples across Taiwan. In the future, the palace and temples will continue to use Mazu culture as a link to further promote the integrated development of Mazu culture on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.
