Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Larry Fink, Bob Iger and Ivanka Trump are just some examples of the long list of those who attended the big pre-wedding of Anant Ambani (28) and Radhika Merchant (29) that took place on the 1st, March 2 and 3 in Jamnagar (India).

The groom is the youngest son of Mukesh Ambani, owner of the Indian conglomerate Reliance

and one of the ten most important fortunes in the world.

The bride is the daughter of Viren Merchant, the wealthy owner of a medical services empire.

During these days, details of this particular and eccentric party

have not stopped being known

.

One of those that has grabbed the most headlines was the performance of Rihanna, who was singing again after eight years without giving concerts.

The artist pocketed six million dollars (about 5.5 million euros) for this comeback.

With a succulent check, the couple got Rihanna to perform 19 songs, including hits like

We Found Love

or

Diamonds.

The Ambanis don't skimp on shows.

His wallet also paid for Beyoncé and Coldplay's performances at Anant's brothers' wedding.

However, Rihanna's show

received some criticism for being "too short."

The guests were transferred on private flights from the cities of Bombay and New Delhi to Jamnagar, where the Ambani family has its own city: Reliance Greens, a complex for thousands of inhabitants that has its

own reserve of wild animals,

among which there were 200 elephants.

They will get married next July 12Gtres

Apart from the musical aspect, the Ambanis also did not skimp, as expected, on the banquet.

2,500 different dishes were served so that none of the three days were repeated.

For this they had 21 chefs from all over the world.

As LOC has learned,

one of the cooks that the Ambani family recruited for the pre-wedding is Manuel Berganza,

chef at Azotea Grupo.

He himself confirms to this supplement that he was the only Spanish chef and that this was the second Ambani event for which he provided his services.

A 20 million catering, Bill Gates and other extravagances at the pre-wedding of the son of the richest man in Asia

His connection with rich Indians comes through

The Final Table,

a Netflix show thanks to which he became known.

"The production company contacted me through Facebook and I dared to go to Los Angeles to compete.

It turned out well and thanks to that program I entered the millionaire club

. "

This is the sixth job that Manuel has done with the great fortunes of Asia.

This chef who was born in Gijón but grew up in the heat of the gastronomic culture of the Basque Country has more than one stamp in his passport.

He opened his own restaurant in New York that got a Michelin star two years later and then moved to Singapore until he was called the owner of Azotea Grupo.

He has now become the favorite chef of Asia's rich.

Spanish flavor

Manuel tells LOC that it is impossible to express in words the experience he had at the Ambanis' pre-wedding.

They had to put a sticker on his mobile phone like in the techno temples of Berlin so that he couldn't record anything that happened there.

He also confesses that Indians "go crazy for patatas bravas"

and that the menu he created for the pre-wedding had quite a few vegetarian tapas.

"On the day we were there there was Italian, Asian, Indian food of course, Turkish and Spanish tapas

tasting

, of course. Most are vegetarian but there is also one with lamb and another with cod. Everything was served as a buffet, I think it is due to a cultural issue, not due to lack of staff.

The chef also cooked a

vegetable paella

and various tapas, including the eggplant and Idiazábal cheese cannelloni and the carabinero suquet.

As for the guests, Manuel states that

Zuckerberg stopped by his area and really enjoyed the Spanish food

and that the party lasted until after 6 in the morning.

"It was longer because the times are not marked like in Spanish weddings, so the guests could come and eat whenever they wanted."

Furthermore, he acknowledges that the guests were very moderate when it came to alcohol.

"They are very restrained when it comes to alcohol.

You don't see any of them going side to side or with their ties on their heads."

Also slip in some more details about the party.

"They created three stages as if it were Tomorrowland.

A

drone show

was done on top of one of the stages with music from the

Lion King

and images of animals. The connection that Ambani has with animals is quite strong."

The chef, who does not reveal his fees, acknowledges that he would love to continue being part of this type of events.

"I would also like to be at the wedding that is in July.

If this has been the pre-wedding... What will the wedding be like?"
