Clashes and explosions in the vicinity of Nour Shams camp in Tulkarm, coinciding with the occupation forces’ continued storming of the camp (Reuters)

On Friday evening, 3 Palestinians were injured as a result of the Israeli occupation army attacking them in several areas in the West Bank, including two with live bullets, while the occupation forces continued to storm cities and towns in the West Bank, leading to the outbreak of confrontations with the Palestinians.

The official Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) reported that the Israeli occupation forces fired live bullets, on Friday evening, at a 15-year-old child near the Qalandiya checkpoint, north of occupied Jerusalem, without clarifying the severity of the injury.

For its part, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society said that its ambulance crews dealt with the injury of the young man (20 years old) with live bullets during confrontations in the town of Osrin, near the city of Nablus, and the society indicated that the injury was transferred to a hospital in Nablus.

It added that its crews transported to the hospital a Palestinian (41 years old) from the Masafer Yatta area, south of the city of Hebron, who was assaulted and beaten by the occupation forces.

It also reported that a Palestinian was injured by occupation bullets at the Qalandia military checkpoint between Ramallah and Jerusalem in the occupied West Bank.

Incursions and clashes

Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that clashes and explosions occurred in the vicinity of the Nour Shams camp in Tulkarm, coinciding with the continued invasion of the camp by the occupation forces, which occurred in the Tulkarm and Nour Shams camps.

The occupation forces bulldozed the Martyr Saif Abu Lebda roundabout, adjacent to the western entrance to Nour Shams camp, and destroyed a number of public properties in the place.

The occupation forces stormed the Jabal al-Nasr area in Nour Shams camp, and bulldozed an agricultural area containing greenhouses. They also destroyed the water line in the middle of the camp and an electricity transformer at its entrance, causing a power outage from the main street of the camp, and causing interruptions and interference in the Internet lines.

 The occupation soldiers also stormed the neighborhoods and alleys of the camp, leading to the outbreak of confrontations, concentrated in the Al-Damj, Al-Manshiyya, and Al-Maslakh neighborhoods, during which explosions were heard.

Local sources reported that the occupation forces fired heavy bullets in the alleys of the camp and towards citizens' homes, and fired an "Energa" shell in the middle of the camp.

Also, the occupation forces stormed some homes in the Aktaba suburb, east of Tulkarm, and vandalized them after searching them and interrogating their residents.

The occupation forces bulldozed Aktaba Roundabout Street, east of the city, closed it and caused destruction in its surroundings, while the occupation soldiers fired random bullets at the Al-Younis Roundabout in the northern area of ​​the city, and pursued the press crews.

In Qalqilya, a large military force from the occupation army stormed the city, accompanied by 4 bulldozers from its western axis, and raided a number of citizens’ homes, searched them, and interrogated their residents.

Confrontations also broke out with the Israeli occupation forces, Friday evening, in the villages of Jalboun and Rummana, and they stormed villages and towns in Jenin Governorate.

Security and local sources told "Wafa" that the occupation forces stormed the villages of Rummana and Jalboun, amidst shooting towards homes and citizens, which led to the outbreak of confrontations.

She added that these forces stormed the villages and towns of Silat Al-Dhahr, Arraba, Marka, Al-Jalama, Deir Ghazala, Arana, Arbouna, Faqoua, and Al-Taybeh, and launched an inspection campaign there.

Coinciding with the start of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, the army escalated its operations in the West Bank, leaving 425 martyrs and about 4,700 wounded, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, and approximately 7,490 prisoners, according to institutions specialized in prisoner affairs.
