Gabon: Angélique Ngoma becomes the new secretary general of the former ruling party

In Gabon, one day after her appointment, the new secretary general of the Gabonese Democratic Party (PDG) took office on Friday.

Angélique Ngoma, a figure who made the party shine during the time of Omar Bongo, was installed in her chair by the first vice-president Paul Biyoghe Mba.

Activists returned en masse to attend the installation of Angélique Ngoma, the new provisional secretary general whose fundamental mission is to

revive the party

dethroned from power by the military.

Party in power yesterday, party without power today.

Out of dynamism, we continue to say:

“the Gabonese democratic party will never be buried”.” 

The new leaders call for unity and mobilization to save the party.

Félicien Evoung, grassroots activist, contests the new reorganization of the party.

It is a coup d’état which was carried out against Ali Bongo Ondimba who has most of his powers.

The current leaders are responsible for ensuring the transition until the next congress which will appoint the new team, assures Paul Biyoghe Mba, first vice-president of the party.
