It has actively provided suggestions and suggestions for national construction and Macao development in a highly responsible spirit.

"The people elected me to be their representative, and I shall represent the people."

Looking back on his 25 years of service experience, Liu Yiliang said with emotion, "I have personally experienced and witnessed with my own eyes the entire process of Macao's growth and development to its current prosperity since its return to the motherland, with the central government's great attention, care and support."

Liu Yiliang pointed out that 25 years after returning to the motherland, especially the 5th anniversary since the release of the "Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area", Macau, as one of the core cities in the Greater Bay Area, has ushered in earth-shaking changes.

From a single industrial structure to moderately diversified economic development, from a "small city" before the handover to a "big market" in the Greater Bay Area with a population of more than 80 million, from Hong Kong, Zhuhai and Macao facing each other across the sea to being connected by a bridge and directly connected by high-speed rail and light rail At the doorstep...Liu Yiliang said that today's development and changes were unimaginable 25 years ago, and everything is a "dream come true."

"Over the past 25 years, Macao has gradually integrated into the overall development of the country. With its 'VIP ticket', it has taken the high-speed train of my country's development. Macao residents have a growing sense of gain and happiness."

As part-time vice chairman of the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and permanent president of the Macau Returned Overseas Chinese Association, Liu Yiliang said that he also bears the responsibility of uniting overseas Chinese and integrating China and foreign countries.

"The most outstanding feature of returned overseas Chinese is their extensive overseas resource network." He said that Macao's various construction achievements since its return are inseparable from the unique role played by the overseas Chinese community in Macao.

Liu Yiliang regarded Macao’s more than 100,000 returned overseas Chinese and their family members as “the precious wealth of the Special Administrative Region.”

Members of the Macau Returned Overseas Chinese Association come from more than 60 countries and regions, with a wide range of sources and rich resources. They are patriotic and love Macao, support "one country, two systems", promote exchanges and cooperation in the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" countries, and participate in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Hengqin Guangdong The construction of Australia’s deep cooperation zones is an important force in helping overseas Chinese at home and abroad “go out and bring in”.
