The German Air Force will come to India for the first time for a joint exercise with its Spanish and French colleagues.

The “Tarang Shakti Phase 1” exercise will take place from August 6th to 14th, a German Air Force spokesman said.

Germany and Europe have great interest in cooperating more closely with the world's most populous democracy.

According to observers, the background to this may also be China's expansionist behavior.

The relationship between the People's Republic and neighboring India is tense due, among other things, to border disputes.

Germany is also interested in a potential billion-dollar submarine deal with India.

The government in New Delhi is currently looking for a cooperation partner for the production of conventional submarines locally in India with technology transfer.

Two proposals for German-Indian and Spanish-Indian cooperation are currently being evaluated.
