The incident occurred on the 606th km of the Tyumen-Khanty-Mansiysk highway, Nefteyugansk district.
It is reported that the driver of a Chevrolet Niva, while overtaking, collided with a passing Shacman car and an oncoming MAZ vehicle.
Then the MAZ drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a KamAZ, causing a fire to occur.
“As a result of a traffic accident, the driver and passenger of the MAZ car died at the scene,” the statement said.
