Dozens of migrants are regularly displaced in the city of Toulouse.

Due to lack of space, they were welcomed into a school last Monday.

But the director of the establishment warns: this solution is not sustainable.

At the end of the weekend, they will be released into the wild.

Residents are worried.

In Toulouse, we still do not know where to house around a hundred migrants.

After being excluded from a university, the municipal gymnasium and a church, these foreigners of sub-Saharan origin have been welcomed into a school since Monday.

A room was lent to them so that they could sleep warm.

But the problem is that this cannot last forever because, during this time, the establishment must operate.

At the heart of this establishment which has 500 students: a gymnasium.

This is where the hundred or so migrants have been spending the night since Monday, after being chased from all over Toulouse.

Denis Rouget, the director, therefore welcomed them at the request of several associations, but only for a few days.

"This is not a solution"

“We have set up schedules. Departure is at 7:45 a.m. every morning to allow the children to be welcomed at around 8 a.m.,” he explains on the microphone of Europe 1. “We tries to minimize impacts as much as possible in conditions that are not at all ideal,” he continues.

But in the neighborhood, residents say they are worried.

“A hungry man can become very dangerous. It’s good that we welcome them but hey, it’s not a solution,” judges a local resident.

Especially since these migrants, in an irregular situation according to the prefecture, will be released into the wild again at the end of this weekend.

Enough to worry a little more the residents present around the school.
