The US Embassy in Moscow warned American citizens against large gatherings (European)

The US Embassy in Moscow reported that it is aware of imminent plans made by what it described as extremists to target public gatherings in the Russian capital during the next two days.

It warned American citizens residing in Russia, and said it was monitoring reports that “extremists have imminent plans to target large gatherings in Moscow, including concerts.”

The embassy advised its American citizens to avoid large gatherings during the next 48 hours.

The embassy, which repeatedly urged Americans to leave Russia immediately, did not provide further details about the nature of the threat, but said they should stay away from gatherings and remain vigilant.

A few days ago, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced the establishment of two military zones, in response to the expansion of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and its military reinforcements on Russia's borders.

On February 24, 2022, Russia began a military war against Ukraine, and to end it, it stipulates that Kiev abandons plans to join military entities, which the latter considers “interference” in its sovereignty.
