The bodies of an 89-year-old woman and her son are found in an apartment in Basauri (Vizcaya)

The Ertzaintza investigates the discovery of the

bodies of an 87-year-old woman and her 59-

year-old son on Thursday afternoon in a home in the Biscayan municipality of

Basauri

.

As reported by the Basque Department of Security, neighbors and relatives of both of them notified the local police that they had not seen them for days and around 2:15 p.m. they went to the house along with firefighters to gain access to the apartment.

After discovering the bodies of the woman and her son inside, the Ertzaintza sealed the house and began an inspection to try to gather evidence that would allow them to find out what had happened.

After the arrival of the judicial procession to the apartment,

both bodies were removed and transferred to the Legal Medicine service of Bilbao to

carry out two autopsies to clarify the cause of the deaths.
