  Mai Meijuan, director of the Youth Affairs Bureau, said in her speech that the Youth Affairs Bureau will continue to promote a number of new measures related to family and women's development proposed by the Chief Executive in the 2023 policy address.

For example, a special "Women's Affairs Group" will be set up, and the position of "Women's Affairs Commissioner" will be established starting from the 1st of next month to be responsible for promoting women's affairs.

The Youth Affairs Bureau will also host the first Family and Women’s Development Summit to collect public opinions to help formulate measures that focus more on supporting women’s development and promoting family education, and launch a one-stop family and women’s information platform to collect relevant information.

  Those attending the reception included members of the Women's Committee, women's groups, non-governmental organizations and representatives from the business sector.

The reception included a themed display panel to review the work done by the SAR government and the Women's Committee in promoting women's development.
