The newspaper said in an editorial entitled, “Fill the streets of Israel and announce: Netanyahu must leave. Netanyahu is responsible for the biggest disaster that has befallen Israel since its establishment,” referring to the Al-Aqsa flood operation carried out by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) on October 7 last year. .
She added that 5 months have passed since last October 7, but Netanyahu and his partners are still unable to bear responsibility. Quite the opposite. He and his government have used the time since then to incite against the security establishment, in an attempt to shift blame on it.
The newspaper also talked about the investigation committee’s report - which was issued this week - into the fatal stampede on Mount Meron in 2021.
It reported that the investigation revealed once again Netanyahu's culture based on lies, negligence, evasion of responsibility, and surrender to special interests at the expense of human life.
She added that the response of the Likud Party - led by Netanyahu - to the report made it clear that nothing has changed since that disaster, not even in the wake of October 7, indicating that Netanyahu and his irresponsible government cannot see people even from a distance of one meter, and that it is not in their hearts. Yesterday, Thursday, dozens of Israelis demonstrated in front of the headquarters of the Israeli Ministry of Defense in Tel Aviv, demanding an immediate meeting with the Israeli Prime Minister and members of the War Council in order to inform them of the developments in the Cairo talks regarding reaching a prisoner exchange deal.
The leaks indicate that the demonstration was arranged to coincide with the holding of the war council and the expanded ministerial council, and witnessed the use of violence by Israeli police officers.
