death of a young Norwegian woman

whose body was found on a street in

Torremolinos

(Málaga) last September.

According to the investigation, the young woman, 22 years old, died as a result of

"drug intoxication"

and her body was abandoned between two cars in the residential area of ​​Benyamina by two people: the arrested person himself and a second suspect who is in unknown location.

As reported this Friday by the National Police, the two investigated were involved in drug retailing in nightlife areas on the Costa del Sol and were roommates in Fuengirola.

That night they went to his home accompanied by the victim and

there they allegedly provided him with narcotic substances

whose ingestion ended his life.

In an attempt to disassociate themselves from the death, the alleged traffickers moved the body to

Torremolinos

, although they first removed his personal belongings to make his identification difficult.

The discovery of the body of the undocumented young woman in the early hours of September 13, 2023 in Torremolinos began an investigation carried out by agents from the Specialized and Violent Crime Unit -UDEV- of the National Police Station in Torremolinos. Benalmadena.

The agents only found

a train card in the young woman's clothes,

although it ended up being "very useful" to identify her and confirm her identity by the Norwegian authorities.

The Police reconstructed the last days of the girl's life, of whom her relatives had not had news since the early hours of September 11.

That night the girl was in Fuengirola, specifically at the home of two acquaintances, where they provided her with

drugs

that would cause her death;

Her body was located around 1:15 a.m. on September 13.

One of the suspects, and the main person under investigation, was arrested on February 23 during a routine check at the Méndez Álvaro bus station in Madrid, by agents assigned to the Mobile Brigade, when he was preparing to take a bus to destination to Lisbon (Portugal).

The detainee, who was carrying false documentation, had a warrant in force for his arrest in relation to the events.

Both the arrested person and the second suspect, still to be located, are charged with the crimes of homicide, against public health, against road safety and document falsification.

The Investigative Court number 2 of Fuengirola has taken charge of the case and has ordered the detainee's provisional detention.
