The Head of State Emmanuel Macron will chair, Friday March 8, the ceremony of the sealing of the French Constitution, in which the freedom to resort to voluntary termination of pregnancy (IVG) will now be mentioned.

This ceremony takes place in front of the Ministry of Justice, Place Vendôme in Paris, from 12:10 p.m. The public is invited, a first on this International Women's Rights Day, to this event during which Catherine Ringer will perform the "Marseillaise ".

The President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron, wants "a popular ceremony" according to his entourage, in order to mark "the culmination of this collective fight", a few days after the approval of the constitutional revision by Congress.

Emmanuel Macron announced that he would also flower the tombs of “great figures” of French feminism, including Françoise Giroud, Gisèle Halimi, Joséphine Baker, Louise Michel, Simone de Beauvoir and Simone Veil.
