Regarding a bill to create a "security clearance" system that would limit access to information important to economic security to those whose credibility has been confirmed by the government, Prime Minister Kishida has proposed measures such as designating or canceling the designation of important information. We have indicated a policy of disclosing the operational status of the system.

Under the "Security Clearance" system, information that could impede Japan's national security if leaked is designated as "Important Economic Security Information," and only those whose reliability has been confirmed by the government are allowed to handle it.

At the House of Councilors Budget Committee on the 8th, Prime Minister Kishida was asked about the Diet's involvement in this system, and in response, he said, ``We will provide important economic security information to a secret session of the Diet, subject to certain measures.'' "We are planning to do so," he said.

Regarding the status of designation and cancellation of "Important Economic Security Information," he stated, "The Cabinet Office, which is in charge of enforcing the bill, is considering compiling and publishing the information," indicating a policy to publicize the operational status of the system. I did.

Furthermore, when it was pointed out that the scope of ``important economic and security information'' was ambiguous, Minister of Economic Security Takaichi said, ``We will create unified standards to decide what fields should be included. We will also listen to the opinions of experts.'' The Cabinet decision will be made, so things will become clearer."
