“Restrictions on electricity consumption are introduced during peak hours in the morning and evening... If work is carried out at an energy facility with a power outage, the public will be informed about this in advance through social networks and the media,” he said in an interview with the state agency Kabar.
According to Zhaparov, the restrictions are related to the modernization of the Toktogul and Uch-Kurgan hydroelectric power stations.
In February, an accident occurred at a thermal power plant in Bishkek, injuring five people.
