Omani doctor and plastic surgeon Ayman Al-Salmi became a symbol of courage and chivalry in the Arab world, after he arrived in Gaza to treat people despite the risks caused by the Israeli war on the Strip 6 months ago.
The story began when surgeon Ayman Al-Salmi, who was working at Khawla Hospital in the Omani capital, Muscat, decided to go to the Gaza Strip to try to restore what was distorted by the barbarism of the occupation against the people of Gaza.

Al-Salmi began documenting his first days in Gaza, publishing pictures of himself with children in the places he visited, and carrying out restoration and beautification operations for injuries resulting from the Israeli aggression against civilians in the Gaza Strip.

Al-Salmi had told Omani newspapers that the reason for his coming to Gaza was that the Palestinian people were exposed to systematic killing and deliberate massacres against them by the Israeli occupation.
Al-Salmi performs between 10 and 11 surgeries, with the help of a medical team, on the injured who come to the hospital daily as a result of the ongoing Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.
