As soon as his demobilization was confirmed, it was his family that the leader of Faso Otherwise notified first.

The former Minister of Foreign Affairs took the time to quickly call them on the phone to inform them of this end of compulsory service in the camps in north-central Faso.

Aged 70, Ablassé Ouedraogo was arrested on December 24 before being transferred to different military bases, with other figures from civil society such as, for example, the human rights defender man Daouda Diallo.

Recently, we could see them in a video posted on social networks in fatigues and handling a Kalashnikov in somewhat ridiculous military exercises.

Known for his cheerful character, the politician, whom we were able to reach by telephone, says he is relieved and slimmed down.

But he wants to make it known, despite the trials, that he has kept his “

jovial nature

 ”.

The conditions of the forced recruitment of Ablassé Ouedraogo had been the subject of numerous comments on the repressive policy of the regime in place.

Multiple appeals and court decisions invalidating these forced military requisitions are not respected by the Ouagadougou government.
