A person died this Thursday afternoon after falling off a cliff in the

Falconera

area , in Sitges (Barcelona), the Generalitat Firefighters reported in a statement.

The Firefighters received

notification of the fall at 2:41 p.m.

and took the victim to the port of Garraf (Barcelona), where they tried to revive him without success.

The helitransported Underwater Grae has been activated from Cerdanyola del Vallès with a multipurpose helicopter and, on land, the Aquatic Rescue Van, a helicopter with personnel from the Grae Muntanya and a doctor from the Medical Emergency System (SEM), in addition to a crew of the Gavà park (Barcelona).

In the area,

the victim was located in the water from the multipurpose helicopter,

the members of the Underwater Grae rescued him and began resuscitation maneuvers.

At the port, where the rest of the troops were waiting - along with three units of the SEM, the maritime police and an investigation unit activated by the Mossos d'Esquadra, Salvament Marítim and the Red Cross - resuscitation continued, unsuccessfully.
