On March 7, the second session of the 14th National People's Congress held a press conference.

Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs, answered questions from Chinese and foreign reporters on issues related to "China's foreign policy and external relations."

　　In this regard, Wang Yi said that the Taiwan regional election is just a local election in China. The election results will not change the basic fact that Taiwan is a part of China, nor will it change the historical trend that Taiwan will return to the motherland.

After the election, more than 180 countries and international organizations reaffirmed their adherence to the one-China principle and supported China in safeguarding national sovereignty and territorial integrity, which fully demonstrated that the one-China principle has become a general consensus of the international community.

If there are still people who condone and support "Taiwan independence", they are challenging China's sovereignty.

If a certain country insists on maintaining official relations with the Taiwan region, it is interfering in China's internal affairs.

"I believe that sooner or later everyone will see a 'family photo' of the international community abiding by the one-China principle. It is only a matter of time."

　　The separatist behavior of "Taiwan independence" is the most destructive factor for peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait.

To truly safeguard peace across the Taiwan Strait, we must unequivocally oppose "Taiwan independence."

The stronger we uphold the one-China principle, the more secure peace across the Taiwan Strait will be.

　　Our policy is very clear, which is to continue to strive for the prospect of peaceful reunification with the utmost sincerity.

Our bottom line is also very clear, that is, Taiwan will never be allowed to split from the motherland.

Anyone in Taiwan who wants to pursue "Taiwan independence" will surely be liquidated by history.

Anyone in the international community who condones and supports "Taiwan independence" will surely get burned and suffer the consequences.

　　The two sides of the Taiwan Strait are closely connected by flesh and blood, and their national roots are inseparable.

All descendants of Yan and Huang, and all descendants of the dragon, should uphold national justice, jointly oppose "Taiwan independence" and support peaceful reunification.
