American President Joe Biden and his predecessor Donald Trump dominated the Democratic and Republican primaries on Tuesday March 5 on the occasion of Super Tuesday, during which fifteen states and one American territory vote simultaneously.
On the Republican side, Donald Trump is given the victory in twelve states: Virginia, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Maine, Arkansas, Massachusetts, Alabama, Minnesota, Colorado, Texas and California.
His last rival still in the running, former UN ambassador Nikki Haley, deprives him of the grand slam by winning in Vermont, a sparsely populated state bordering Canada.
On the Democratic side, Joe Biden, who faced no serious opposition, won all the states at stake.
