American President Joe Biden and his predecessor Donald Trump dominated the Democratic and Republican primaries on Tuesday March 5 on the occasion of Super Tuesday, during which fifteen states and one American territory vote simultaneously.

  • On the Republican side, Donald Trump is given the victory in twelve states: Virginia, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Maine, Arkansas, Massachusetts, Alabama, Minnesota, Colorado, Texas and California.

  • His last rival still in the running, former UN ambassador Nikki Haley, deprives him of the grand slam by winning in Vermont, a sparsely populated state bordering Canada.

  • On the Democratic side, Joe Biden, who faced no serious opposition, won all the states at stake.
