Munteanu made this statement on air on the Journal TV channel, but did not specify the details.

“Sufficient evidence has been collected that Hutsul was involved in illegal actions,” TASS quotes him as saying.

Hutsul, who won the election as head of the autonomy last May, reported pressure from the leadership of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office of Moldova.

According to her, the department, in exchange for closing the criminal case in which she appears, offered her to resign from her position and slander her colleagues from the Shor opposition party.

Evgenia Gutsul previously spoke about the attempts of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office of the republic to force her to resign from her position and to slander her colleagues in the Shor party.

At the same time, President of Moldova Maia Sandu claimed that she does not plan to sign a decree appointing the head of Gagauzia Hutsul as a member of the government, although this is required by the country’s legislation.
