The President of the Government does not consider that this case of corruption emanating from the Ministry of Transport led by José Luis Ábalos will derail his coalition and believes that having removed the former minister and having dismissed the head of State Ports who processed the largest contract in the 'Koldo case' represent a sufficient firewall.

The Government of Francina Armengol made an emergency contract worth 3.7 million euros in April 2020 to the company investigated in the investigation of Koldo García, former advisor to José Luis Ábalos, of alleged bites in the sale of medical supplies, and demanded 2.6 million euros from him on the last day of government, in July 2023.
