During a meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in Odessa, the southern Ukrainian port city was attacked with rockets by Russia, according to Ukrainian sources.

A video shows that the two politicians are doing well.

But there were deaths and injuries, Zelensky said on Wednesday, according to Ukrainian public television, without initially giving any details.

»We saw this impact today.

You see who we're dealing with.

They don't care at all where they shoot," said the head of state.

Mitsoktakis is shocked

The Greek head of government was shocked by what he had experienced.

At the end of a visit to the port, sirens and nearby explosions were heard.

"We didn't manage to get into a shelter," Mitsotakis told reporters in Odessa, according to Ukrainian reports.

Zelensky had previously shown him port facilities and the consequences of previous attacks.

Zelensky's travels within the country, as well as foreign visits to Ukraine, are usually not announced in advance.

According to media reports, explosions had already been heard in Odessa the night before.
