The head of state noted Tereshkova’s active civic position and significant legislative and social activities.

“I take this opportunity to congratulate you on the upcoming International Women’s Day,” Putin added.
In June, the president awarded Tereshkova the Order of Gagarin for outstanding services in space exploration.
