The head of state said this during a meeting with participants of the World Youth Festival (WYF).

The Russian leader recalled the statement of German politician Wolfgang Schäuble, who said that after World War II, Germany lost its sovereignty.

“The problem of today's Germany is precisely this.

This is not even a problem, this is the problem of today’s Germany,” Putin emphasized.

Earlier, the press secretary of the Russian leader, Dmitry Peskov, said that in Russia they love the Germans and Germany, but the time for wise politicians has passed in a number of European countries, including Germany.
