This was announced by Vice Speaker of the Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev.

“Today, through our line - through the Federal Assembly of Russia - more than 200 people have already confirmed their participation as observers in these elections.

These are mainly our fellow parliamentarians,” RIA Novosti quotes him as saying.

Kosachev clarified that parliamentarians will represent 35 countries of the world.

On March 4, at the Central Election Headquarters of Russian presidential candidate Vladimir Putin, a meeting was held between the co-chair of the headquarters, Maryana Lysenko, and the head of the CIS observer mission, Ilham Lysenko.
