Today, Wednesday, the Israeli army again targeted Palestinians who were waiting for aid, and continued to bomb residential areas, leaving dozens of martyrs and wounded, while hunger continues to ravage the Palestinians in the northern Gaza Strip.

Al Jazeera's correspondent said that 7 Palestinians were martyred and at least 10 wounded in Israeli shooting at citizens near the Wadi Gaza checkpoint in the central Gaza Strip.

Palestinian media reported that the occupation forces opened fire on citizens who gathered to obtain humanitarian aid that was on its way to the northern Gaza Strip, where famine is spreading among the population.

Also in field developments, Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that ambulance crews recovered the bodies of 16 martyrs from various areas in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, since dawn today.

The correspondent also reported that two martyrs were killed in an Israeli bombing on the Al-Qarara area, north of Khan Yunis, noting that there were martyrs and wounded in a similar bombing that targeted Palestinians in the center of the town of Bani Suhaila, near the city.

Also in the Khan Yunis area, the occupation forces carried out intense bombardment targeting the besieged Hamad Town and areas north of Khan Yunis.

Also in the southern Gaza Strip, an Al Jazeera correspondent reported that a child was martyred in an Israeli artillery shelling on the airport area, east of the city of Rafah.

In the center of the Gaza Strip, an Al Jazeera correspondent said that today an Israeli bombing targeted a house on Al-Matahin Street, south of Deir Al-Balah, and at the same time, people mourned the bodies of 12 martyrs from Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.

Yesterday evening and today at dawn, Israeli occupation aircraft targeted two homes in Deir al-Balah and the Bureij camp, killing 6 people.

In the Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip, civil defense crews were able to rescue a girl alive and recover a number of martyrs and wounded from under the rubble of a house after Israeli occupation aircraft targeted a residential square in the camp.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza said that the occupation army committed 9 massacres during the last 24 hours, killing 86 martyrs and wounding 113 others.

The ministry added that the number of victims of the Israeli aggression rose to 30,717 martyrs, while the number of wounded rose to 72,156 since the seventh of last October.

The course of battles

Regarding the battles, the Israeli army spokesman said that military operations are continuing in Khan Yunis, and in the center and north of the Gaza Strip.

The army added that the Air Force launched raids in northern Gaza, targeting a military building in which it said two gunmen who participated in the attack of last October 7 had holed up.

He continued that the Nahal Brigade continues its operations in the central Gaza Strip, claiming that it killed about 20 Palestinian militants yesterday.

A few days ago, the Israeli army acknowledged the difficulty of the battles in Khan Yunis, while the resistance confirmed that it was engaged in fierce fighting in several areas of the city and that the occupation forces were inflicting heavy losses.

Also on the ground, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, announced that it bombed with mortar shells a command and control headquarters for Israeli occupation soldiers south of Gaza City.

The Al-Quds Brigades broadcast scenes of its fighters shelling sites where Israeli soldiers and military vehicles were gathered in the northern Gaza Strip with mortar shells.

Famine victims

On the other hand, the spokesman for the Ministry of Health in Gaza, Ashraf Al-Qudra, said that the number of martyrs due to malnutrition and dehydration rose to 18 in the Gaza Strip.

Al-Qudra added that famine in the northern Gaza Strip has reached fatal levels, especially among children, pregnant women, and those suffering from chronic diseases, calling for immediate entry of humanitarian and medical aid.

The Palestinian spokesman called on the international community and the United Nations to use all pressure tools to ensure an immediate cessation of the aggression and to take urgent measures to prevent the humanitarian and health catastrophe in northern Gaza.

This comes as the Israeli occupation forces are repeatedly accused of waging a starvation war on the population by preventing the arrival of aid, especially to those besieged in the northern Gaza Strip.
