The head of Gagauzia, Evgenia Gutsul, stated this in an interview with RIA Novosti.
“The law of the Republic of Moldova... provides that this can only happen if our country loses its independence,” said the head of the autonomy.
According to her, all the contradictions between the region and Chisinau lie “on the political plane” and are artificial.
Earlier, Hutsul said that the autonomy intends to develop relations with Moscow and asks for Russian support.
Also, the Constitutional Court of Moldova declared the amendments to reduce funding for Gagauzia illegal.
