“Supplying missile systems to Ukraine and sending military specialists to maintain them would mean Germany’s direct participation in the conflict,” he said.
Also, Wad called the decision of German Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz not to transfer the Taurus to Ukraine “absolutely correct.”
It was previously reported that Germany fears Russia's response if Ukraine uses Taurus missiles.
At the same time, the New York Times noted that Taurus missiles are unlikely to help the Ukrainian Armed Forces at the front.
