This is stated in the Telegram channel of the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs Irina Volk.

According to the victim, the goods had to be delivered from Chelyabinsk to Omsk and Novosibirsk.

“An unknown person responded to an offer posted by a manager on the Internet for the transportation of flower products, who introduced himself as an employee of a transport company.

The parties signed an agreement.

However, on the appointed day, the driver did not deliver the cargo to its destination,” the message says.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs said that the attackers, posing as the customer, contacted the carrier and assigned him a new place for unloading flowers in the city of Yekaterinburg.

Later they sold the goods to another store for approximately 500 thousand rubles.

Experts previously interviewed by RT warned that scammers usually become more active on holidays.

Thus, EdgeCenter CIO Sergei Lipov advised Russians to be careful with offers of discounts and promotions, especially if they come in the form of emails or messages.
