Several members of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference from the overseas Chinese community said in an interview with a reporter from China News Service that this is an affirmation of the important status and unique role of overseas Chinese and returned overseas Chinese and their family members, and it also clears the path for future overseas Chinese affairs work.

Overseas Chinese express response to concerns

　　Li Xingyu, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and chairman of the Shandong Provincial Overseas Chinese Federation, said that the discussion of overseas Chinese affairs in the government work report shows the importance of overseas Chinese affairs and that China's overseas Chinese affairs policy is clear and consistent.

Liu Yiqin, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and chairman of the Sichuan Overseas Chinese Federation, said that in various historical periods of China's revolution, construction and reform, overseas Chinese have played a unique role.
