  Zeng Yingru, Minister of the Chinese Embassy in Germany, said in her speech that tourism is an important bridge and link that enhances mutual understanding between China and Germany and promotes people-to-people connections.

Since last year, the Chinese government has launched a series of tourism promotion measures and launched a new "Hello! China" national tourism image of China, which has effectively promoted the recovery and revitalization of the Chinese tourism market.

In the new year, I hope that everyone will work together to create a new pattern of Sino-German tourism exchanges, enhance understanding, friendship and cooperation between the two peoples, and contribute more cultural and tourism resources to promote the development of Sino-German relations.

  Gao Yang, Director of the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, said in his speech that Shaanxi, as the starting point of the ancient Silk Road, is an important node in the implementation of the “Belt and Road” initiative and shoulders the important mission of “a new starting point for the Silk Road Economic Belt”.

Understanding China begins in Shaanxi. To enter Shaanxi is to read history, integrate into nature, and enjoy convenience. Shaanxi is using a more open attitude to communicate closely with Germany, carry out cooperation, achieve mutual benefit and win-win, and achieve a two-way journey.

  Sun Qinhang, director of the China Cultural Center in Berlin, said in his speech that tourism is an important channel for exchanges and mutual learning between different countries and cultures; exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations are an important driving force for the progress of human civilization and world peace and development.

It is hoped that this event will play a positive role in promoting exchanges and cooperation between China and Germany in the fields of culture and tourism, enhancing mutual understanding between the two peoples, and promoting the development of friendly relations between the two countries.

  Dr. Peter Kreuzberg, Chairman of the Federation of German-Chinese Friendship Associations, mentioned that he has lived in China for more than 20 years and was particularly impressed by Xi'an.

Xi'an has historically been a transportation hub between China and the West, connecting China and Europe. As the starting point of the ancient Silk Road, the "New Silk Road" has brought new development opportunities to this ancient city.

  The theme of this promotion conference is "The starting point of the Silk Road, the hometown of the Terracotta Warriors and Horses".

A Shaanxi cultural tourism promotional video was played at the meeting, introducing Shaanxi’s history and culture, natural scenery, food specialties, folk customs, etc. In addition, two classic Chinese inbound tourism routes were introduced.

  An exhibition area for Shaanxi's characteristic cultural and creative products was also set up at the promotion meeting, displaying peasant paintings, paper-cuts, stone carvings, clay sculptures, jujube wood carvings and other intangible cultural heritage products, allowing guests to experience Shaanxi's folk art and traditional skills.

Artists from Shaanxi performed Northern Shaanxi Yangge and waist drum for the guests, and sang "Over the Mountain", "Driving the Animal Spirits", "Throwing Tears in the Sand and Artemisia Forest", "Pairs of Mandarin Ducks Floating on the Water" and other extreme performances. At the promotion meeting, the guests exchanged ideas and discussed the cooperation opportunities and development prospects between Shaanxi and Germany in the field of cultural tourism, and the atmosphere was warm.

  This promotion will be the first overseas tourism promotion event launched by the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism in 2024.
