The Israeli occupation forces re-arrested 11 Palestinian prisoners who were released as part of the war truce deals on the Gaza Strip that took place at the end of last November.

The Palestinian Prisoners' Club reported that these arrests carried out by the occupation began on January 23, the last of which was the arrest of the freed prisoner Hanan Barghouti, who was arrested at dawn today from her home in the town of Cooper, northwest of the city of Ramallah. She is the sister of the dean of Palestinian prisoners, Nael Barghouti.

In the same context, the Commission for the Affairs of Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners and the Palestinian Prisoners Club announced that the number of Palestinians arrested by the Israeli occupation in the West Bank has risen to more than 7,422 since last October 7, after 22 people were arrested on Tuesday night.

According to a joint statement by the two institutions, the numbers include those whom the occupation continued to detain, and those who were later released.

The statement added that the Israeli occupation forces arrested, from Monday evening until Tuesday morning, "at least 22 citizens from the West Bank, including children, former prisoners, and 3 women, including a prisoner who was released in an exchange deal with the Hamas movement."

Since the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, the army has escalated its raids and arrest operations in the West Bank, which led to confrontations with the Palestinians, resulting in 420 martyrs and about 4,650 wounded.
